Wizwell

“Wizwell” is an online platform that provides users with flashcards to explore new subjects. In addition to studying with flashcards, users can test their knowledge through quizzes and discover various learning techniques. While it primarily caters to elementary school-aged children, Wizwell also offers more advanced topics for adult learners.

My Role: Lead UX Designer
Full redesign of Wizwell’s website, focusing on user interaction with flash cards and quizzes.

Responsibilities:
Identify the problem, conduct user research, develop personas, user journeys, empathy maps, and user flows, carry out interviews, create wireframes, produce low and high-fidelity prototypes, perform usability studies, design for accessibility, conduct user testing, refine designs, and deliver the final product

The Problem:

Users are finding it challenging to navigate the Wizwell website. The current design has a complex menu structure and unclear labels, making it difficult for younger users to find the flashcards, quizzes, and learning techniques they need. This leads to frustration and decreased engagement, as users are spending too much time searching for resources rather than learning.

 The Goal:

Redesign the website to simplify navigation, making it easier for all users—especially children—to quickly access and utilize the educational resources. This will enhance user engagement, improve the learning experience, and increase the site's effectiveness in helping users gain new knowledge.
